Accessibility information

The venue features accessible toilets, ramps, and lifts throughout, including lift access from the car parks. Braille is available on all room door signage and fixed directional signage throughout the venue. MCEC is guide dog friendly and welcomes any registered assistance dogs in all areas of the building. If you require a hearing-assisted device, please email events@mfaa.com.au.

Are there group rates with surrounding hotels?

Yes, we have partnered with The Accommodation Brokers to offer attendees the best possible accommodation rates. Use the booking portal to secure your stay as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Several major events are taking place in Melbourne during the same dates, including the British & Irish Lions rugby game at Marvel Stadium on Tuesday, 22 July.

Can I buy a ticket to just the Welcome Drinks?

No, you must purchase a conference ticket to access the Welcome Drinks, which will be held in the exhibition area.

Can I buy a ticket to the National Excellence Awards?

Yes, you can purchase a discounted combined ticket to the conference and awards using this registration page. If you only wish to attend the awards please visit the awards website.

What is the difference between the virtual and in person ticket?

An in-person ticket allows you to meet industry colleagues, access the exhibition, engage in interactive activities and attend the welcome drinks. A virtual ticket provides online access to presentations and exhibitor collateral but does not include in-person networking opportunities.

How will I receive my registration?

In person - You will receive a confirmation email to the address supplied on your registration form. Closer to the event, we will send your access QR code to the same email. Please bring this to the registration desk to collect your name badge. Registration opens at 8.00am on Wednesday 23 July.

Virtual - You will receive a confirmation email to the address supplied on your registration form. On Monday 21 July, you will receive a link to the virtual portal to log in and watch presentations from 9.00am on Wednesday 23 July.

Cancellation, refund and transfer policy

We understand that circumstances can change, and that you may need to cancel your registration or the registration for an accompanying person. Please note the following:

All cancellations must be notified in writing to events@mfaa.com.au
No refunds will be given to cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the event date. This timeframe is based on when our final numbers are due to venues and suppliers.
Should you not be able to attend the event, a substitute delegate is welcome at no additional cost.

I’ve purchased an in-person ticket, can I change my mind and attend virtually?

All in person attendees will have access to the virtual platform after the event to watch session recordings. No refunds will be provided for non-attendance; please review the refund policy above.

Have CPD hours being allocated for this event?

Yes, In person attendees can earn up to 8 hours by attending presentations (scan your conference QR code upon entrance) and by visiting exhibitor stands (scan your QR code at each stand).

Virtual attendees can earn up to 6 hours by watching presentations and visiting the exhibitor information hub on the virtual platform.

What is the dress code for each event?

Welcome Drinks: Smart casual
Conference sessions: Smart business casual
National Excellence Awards: Black Tie
Appropriate footwear is required (no thongs please).
